General
Is PingPaid really free?
Yes. 100% free. No signup. No credit card. No watermarks. No limits. We don't even ask for your email.
How do you make money?
We don't. PingPaid is a side project built by a freelancer who got tired of paying for simple tools. It's open source and runs on GitHub Pages, which is free.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Open the page, use the tool, close the tab. That's it. We don't store anything. Your data never leaves your browser.
Is my data safe?
Yes. All calculations happen in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. We can't see your invoices, your rates, or your calculations. We don't want your data.
Invoice Generator
Can I add my logo?
Yes! Click "Add Logo" and upload any image. The logo appears on the generated PDF invoice.
Can I download as PDF?
Yes. Click "Download PDF" and you'll get a clean, professional PDF invoice. It works on mobile too.
Can I add multiple line items?
Yes. Click "Add Item" as many times as you need. Each line item has description, quantity, and rate.
Can I add tax?
Yes. Enter your tax rate (e.g., 8.25) and it automatically calculates and adds it to the total.
Can I send the invoice directly to my client?
Download the PDF and attach it to an email. We're working on a "Share via Email" feature for a future update.
Calculators
Are the calculators accurate?
Yes. All calculations use standard mathematical formulas. The late fee calculator uses the exact legal formula for simple interest.
Can I use these on my phone?
Yes. All tools are mobile-first and responsive. Use them anywhere — at a client meeting, in a coffee shop, on the train.
Do the calculators work offline?
After the first visit, yes. The tools are cached in your browser. No internet needed after the initial load.
Business & Legal
Can I use these for my business?
Yes. All tools are free for personal and commercial use. No attribution required.
Are the invoices legally valid?
Yes, as long as they contain all required information (your details, client details, invoice number, date, line items, total). Requirements vary by country — check your local regulations.
Can I customize the invoice template?
Yes. The invoice generator is open source. Fork it on GitHub and customize the HTML/CSS however you want.

Is PingPaid open source?
Yes. All code is on GitHub. Fork it, modify it, host it yourself. No vendor lock-in.
Can I self-host these tools?
Yes. Clone any repo from GitHub, open the HTML file in a browser. Or deploy to GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, or any static host.
What technologies do you use?
Plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No frameworks, no dependencies, no build step. Simple and fast.
